Cafe Du Nord Officially Re-Opens as a Music Venue on June 1

They're kicking things off with a show by East Bay indie rockers Rogue Wave.

The century-old, subterranean bar underneath Swedish American Music Hall is returning to being a full-time music venue on Thursday, June 1 with a performance by Bay Area indie rockers Rogue Wave

The news was announced this morning (5/11) by Noise Pop, who has teamed up with Cafe Du Nord to plan a full-range of shows for the next few months that will include live music, DJ nights, and comedy gigs.

Cafe Du Nord has also made renovations to the venue to better accommodate future live music acts, some of whom include LA Takedown, Slow Dancer, My Jerusalem, Meatbodies, VHS Collection, and Ben Ottwell.

And, lest you’re worried that Cafe Du Nord will stop serving food, they won’t. The Burger Du Nord and the bucket of fried chicken is still on the menu, and there’ll be some new dishes, too, like the Woodhouse lobster role.

Check out the flier below and visit Swedish American Music Hall’s calendar to learn about future shows at Cafe Du Nord.
