“Ol’ Money,” the first single released from Richmond rapper Mani Draper’s upcoming album, Last Marauder, is a textured, layered track with dark undertones and an undulating synth line. Inspired by an article written about the artist Jean-Michael Basquiat, the song is about power dynamics in our society and the inequality of class structures.

Recorded in March, the track was produced by IAMSU and Ian McKee, and is an alluring listen for anyone who likes moody hip-hop and haunting melodies.

Stay tuned for more from Draper and keep an eye out for the Last Marauder, which is slated to drop in early November.
