Shoe hoarders and electro-funk fans alike can catch DJ, artist and producer Dâm-Funk spinning records at the Dr. Martens store in Upper Haight tonight — a “surprise” performance so secret that the Bay Area media were notified days in advance.
The one-hour set at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by a
meet and greet — all leading to his 9 p.m. performance at the Mezzanine. Rachel Woodman, the San Francisco Dr. Martens general manager,
tells us there will also be free beer. “We're known as being the fun
party store,” she said.
