Dirtybird’s BBQ Returns Saturday, June 2

The annual party returns to Middle Harbor Shoreline Park next weekend, with great music and plenty of food.

Get out your aprons, the Dirtybird BBQ returns to the Bay Area next Saturday, June 2, this time at Oakland’s Middle Harbor Shoreline Park.

What once began as a small cookout party at Golden Gate Park years ago has grown into an annual touring celebration of the kinetic tech house label’s music, with plenty of freshly smoked meat for the whole crowd, although you must pay an extra $20 for a Feast ticket if you want in on the deliciousness. (Tickets here.)

This year’s edition includes sets by Dirtybird staples like J. Phlip, Ardalan, Justin Martin, and the party-wizard himself, Claude VonStroke. This year’s official Dirtybird Compilation, Filthy Flavor, is an eclectic mix from Christian Martin that includes tracks from artists everyone can expect to see next Saturday.

As always, the “Best In Show” contest recognizes the cookout’s craziest attendees, so bizarre costumes and totems are highly encouraged from the Dirtybird crew.
