Fresh from the Do LaB, Yahtzel Takes the Main Stage

No other country, as of late, has a higher hit ratio when it comes to exporting talented electronic producers than Australia. With a sound that walks the line between summertime relaxation vibes and dance floor-filling bangers, producer and DJ Yahtzel looks to bring his sunshine-soaked style to American audiences.

Born Max Armata, Yahtzel began his music career earlier this decade, gaining a worldwide following with the release of smooth-listening singles like “Girls.”  Further success came for Yahtzel with fellow producer Drew Carmody performing as Carmada, earning gold certification in Australia for their 2015 EP Realise, released on Skrillex’s label OWSLA.

Hot off the heels of performing at Coachella’s Do LaB in the midst of a busy tour schedule, Yahtzel is ready to make the leap from the underground to the main stage, with the release of his ridiculously fun new single “Someone Else,” released under the like-minded ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective. The catchy single, anchored by fellow Aussie Savoi’s shining vocals, is a seamless blend of Yahtzel’s naturally chill technique along with his exuberant, party-intensifying tendencies. Taking his musicianship even further than before, Yahtzel has left the DJ deck behind on this tour, performing his new material live.
