Alex Ridha, the DJ and producer known as Boys Noize, has been making waves in the house and techno world since the age of 15. Even if his name doesn’t sound familiar, the list of artists he’s collaborated with, like Polica, Kelis, The Black Eyed Peas, and Snoop Dogg — the latter of which popped up on the last track of his 2012 album, Out of The Black — probably do. Futuristic and highly industrial in sound, Noize’s creations are the kind of stuff that conjures up images of robots, assembly lines, and other Fritz Lang science-fiction-y imagery. Expect textured, mechanical soundscapes; sudden transitions; buzzy electronic touches; and a whole lot of chaos.
Boys Noize at 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at Regency Ballroom. $25-$40; theregencyballroom.com.
