This year’s Not So Silent Night concert, put on by Live 105, promises to be a whirlwind of fun, showcasing a litany of rock subgenres — like alt, indie, and punk — and one of the concert’s most diverse lineups yet. In the past, bands like Weezer, Death Cab For Cutie, CHVRCHES, Foals, Future Islands, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, and Interpol have played the two-night event, which is headlined this year by Green Day and Blink 182. There’s also some wild-card acts among the lot, like Oxford, England’s psych-rock quartet Glass Animals, electronic duo Phantogram, and indie-folk sextet the Head and the Heart.
Live 105’s Not So Silent Night with the Head and the Heart, Green Day, Blink 182, Glass Animals, Empire of the Sun, and more, at 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10, at Oracle Arena. $85; live105.cbslocal.com
