Traxamillion @ the Regency Ballroom

I’m willing to bet that dozens of Midwestern teens learned about “sideshows” and “doughnuts” because of San Jose producer and occasional rapper Traxamillion’s 2006 single “The Sideshow.” The synth-punctuated track, which features guest verses by Oakland greats Too $hort and Mistah F.A.B., is just one of the many local hits that he’s helped create. Traxamillion’s biggest production credit to date is Keak Da Sneak’s 2005 golden egg, “Super Hyphy,” a buzzy, bass-laden record that helped bring attention and fame not only to Traxamillion and Keak, but to the Bay Area rap scene in general. On Friday, Dec. 30, Traxamillion will join Fillmore rapper Andre Nickatina and a slew of other NorCal talents, like Yukmouth, Rappin’ 4 Tay, and A-Plus, for a night of heavy-hitting beats and lyrical prowess.

With Andre Nickatina, at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, at the Regency Ballroom. $24.50-$35;
