Better than: The $40 shirts on sale. And, possibly, *NSYNC.
Reliving the '90s — by attending a Backstreet Boys concert and having an awesome night — doesn't compromise your musical taste in the least. In fact, it makes you that much cooler, for being unashamed of your still-soft spot for old-school pop ballads. At least, that's what I told myself as I was “rocking my body” to “Everybody” last night at the boy band's third S.F. concert of the week (they played there the night before, and at the Pride Parade).
The composition of the crowd was as expected: enthusiastic girls in their early 20s wearing matching BSB tour t-shirts and taking group shots (both photos and alcohol) in front of the bar; middle-aged women (who were questionably without their all-grown-up children); and the occasional male.
