Tame Impala and A$AP Rocky Headline Treasure Island Music Festival 2018

Well, that was quick. Only a day after announcing that it had returned from its gap year with a new location at Oakland’s Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, the 11th Treasure Island Music Festival (Oct. 13-14) has put out its full lineup. Psychedelic Aussie quartet Tame Impala and hyperkinetic N.Y.C. rapper A$AP Rocky are the dual headliners, the latter of whom will turn 30 only a few days prior to the festival.

Produced by Noise Pop and Another Planet Entertainment, the revived festival has put out a serious undercard lineup as well. In keeping with its historical practice, hip-hop, dance and electronic music are allocated to Saturday while Sunday is mostly indie-rock and more experimental acts. Producers Diplo and Mark Ronson will perform under their joint project Silk City, while seven-member modern-soul collective Jungle and Portland rapper Aminé are slated to appear as well. Folk-rockers Courtney Barnett and Lord Huron, magnificent singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten, and reggae fusion/alternative hip-hop powerhouse Santigold are among the other notable names.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 18, at noon. There are two limited-availability tiers, with GA tickets starting at $165 and then going to $175, while VIP starts at $325 before rising to $335. Once those are sold out, weekend passes hit $185 and $345, respectively. (Single-day tickets will be available at a later date, along with info on vendors, artists, and merchants.)
