After three successful years as collaborators, festival production company The DoLab and local music label Dirtybird Records have announced the end of their partnership. Beginning in 2015, The DoLab (best known for putting the annual Lighting in a Bottle Festival) assisted Dirtybird with organizing the Dirtybird Campout, a beloved summer camp meets dance music festival hybrid which expanded into a bi-coast and biannual event last year.

Dirtybird’s desire to evolve as event producers is cited as the main reason for their decision to continue the Campout on their own.

“Creating the wild and one-of-a-kind Dirtybird Campout has been one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had the privilege to take part in and we’re very proud of the unique event we were able to build together,” said Do LaB’s co-founder and President, Jesse Flemming. “The Dirtybird community welcomed us with open arms, so hosting their amazing fans for the last three years has been very special.”

As The DoLab heavily assisted Dirtybird with stage design, marketing, and promotion for their Campout, this marks a potential stylistic change for the festival moving forward.
