Trains are not stopping at MacArthur BART station in Oakland Thursday afternoon, after reports came in shortly after 3 p.m. that a person was hit by a train. Details are slim, but the entire station has been evacuated. BART reports that trains are not currently stopping at the platform, and alternative methods of transportation are recommended:

Update, 5 p.m.: BART authorities report that limited service is returning for those heading west toward San Francisco. Trains running to the East Bay are still not stopping at the station.
