Man Attacked in Alleged Gay Hate Crime Near San Francisco State

Yet another reason we aren't the gayest city in the nation

Police are looking for three men who jumped a 20-year-old San Francisco man early this morning in what officers are calling a clear hate crime.

According to Officer Albie Esparza, the victim was walking along Font and Tapia near San Francisco State University when some guys in an Oldsmobile pulled up next to him and shouted homophobic slurs.

The victim kept walking, but the car stopped, and three men got out and surrounded the man, Esparza told us. They demanded his property, and began punching and kicking the victim.
