Man Fatally Stabbed at Fisherman’s Wharf in Broad Daylight

Brook Pettyjohn, 44, was repeatedly stabbed near the same busy Fisherman's Wharf intersection as Madame Tussauds.

A 44-year-old man was fatally stabbed near Fisherman’s Wharf on Wednesday afternoon, police said Thursday.

Police are investigating the homicide of Brook Pettyjohn, who was stabbed to death with a knife at Jefferson and Taylor streets around 1:45 p.m. Pettyjohn suffered multiple stab wounds at a busy intersection of a popular tourist attraction, where Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Madame Tussauds sit.

A 55-year-old man was arrested in connection with the homicide, according to police. The Medical Examiner’s Office identified Pettyjohn as not having a set address.

Pettyjohn’s death marks the sixth homicide of 2019, according to the Examiner.
