Marijuana Activists Offering 100 Pounds of Free Pot to San Jose Voters

San Jose's medical marijuana industry is in big trouble. About 70 of the cannabis dispensaries in Northern California's largest city could start closing in four days under onerous new zoning rules passed by the City Council last month.

To stop that, marijuana activists need to go to the ballot. And to get voters excited about saving weed businesses in San Jose, activists are giving away free weed.

About 100 pounds of it, to be exact. Also on tap, free of charge: the medical marijuana recommendations required to smoke it all. All you need to do is sign a petition.
