Around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers specializing in narcotics discovered the drugs after searching a home on the 1200 block of Sanchez Street in the Mission, police say.

San Francisco resident Alejandro Alvarez, 44, was booked on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, and maintaining a place for the purpose of selling narcotics.

Though police made one arrest, they are asking for information on this case to be directed to the anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444, or to text SFPD to TIP411.

UPDATE: As Mission Local points out, the residence appears to lie in Noe Valley, contrary to the police press release.
