Is your current name different than what’s on your birth certificate? Does your driver’s license reflect your correct gender?
TGI Justice Project is hosting a workshop next week to help transgender individuals navigate the bureaucratic nightmare that is legally updating ones name and gender on official documents.
The event is one of many of its kind taking place around the country, to help trans people gain rights that some fear will be taken away when President Trump takes office.
“During the clinic, we will be able to provide folks with local, state and federal legal assistance (Name and Gender Marker changes on DMV, Circuit court Name Changes, birth certificates, passports, etc),” reads the event page on Facebook.
