A driver left a 25-year-old pedestrian with serious injuries in SoMa Tuesday evening, police said Wednesday.
Around 6:55 p.m., San Francisco police received reports of a crash on Fifth and Harrison streets near the Interstate Highway 80 offramp. The driver struck a woman walking in the roadway, sending her to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police confirmed Wednesday afternoon.
This marks the second crash involving pedestrians in SoMa this week. On Sunday, a 46-year-old Italian woman was fatally struck by a driver on the on-ramp to Interstate Highway 80 before other vehicles hit her in the roadway.
