Taking a page out of San Francisco's playbook of citywide bans, Sonoma's City Council is considering outlawing pit bulls after last week's fatal attack of a Pacifica pregnant woman.

City Councilwoman Joanne Sanders says she'll ask the full council to ban the pups and other vicious dogs from the North Bay city. She explained that after the family's 2-year-old pit bull got loose and mauled 32-year-old Darla Napora to death, she is simply looking out for her own community.

“I think pit bulls are a great start,” Sanders told the Press Democrat
