Every year, without exception, untold numbers of San Francisco residents who hail from a distant land called "The East Coast" gather on fall and winter nights to roast California. Festooned in their best wool clothing, clanging "Carol of the Bells" on frozen pipes, these (purportedly) happy transplants chatter on about raingear, how much they miss the snow, and, for lack of better ideas, our second-rate public transportation systems. And while San Francisco can't offer them snow or even a "change of seasons" (whatever that means), it does offer this family-friendly holiday show from the San Francisco Symphony that has a snow theme and light-hearted music to cure that frigidity – er, homesickness.
