When choosing a restaurant to please a mixed group of both carnivores and shunners of red meat, one's first choice would not usually be a steakhouse. But when faced with such an assignment for a recent dinner, I decided to try El Raigón, a new Argentine steakhouse in North Beach, after a quick phone call inquiring if they had nonmeat options on the menu ("We have chicken, fish, and vegetarian dishes," I was assured).
