Aptly framed as a hostage-situation film pitch, overseer Peter Farrelly's hodgepodge of roughly collated sketches starts with a bottomed-out director (Dennis Quaid) pulling a gun on some milquetoast studio functionary (Greg Kinnear) and riffing out absurd and obscene ideas.
