If putting together a successful solo art exhibit and releasing a new clothing line isn't awesome enough, SF artist Alex Pardee is now in the process of creating toys. Teaming with Upper Playground, Alex Pardee will release his very first vinyl figure in early Feb. that looks to be his own vision of the trademark UP walrus. Details are slim right now, but check out Juxtapoz for some shots of the wax figure in development.
Ron English presented his latest collection of works alongside Alex Pardee's Letters From Digested Children last week, and the art dudes over at Juxtapoz simply couldn't give you one set of photos without the other. The prolific street artist proved just as amazing on canvas, with images of adolescent Jesus Christ paired with deformed sketches of superheroes like Batman and Captain America. "Toy Maker" by James Jean
The first solo show of James Jean's art is currently underway at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York. His work is stunning, and from the looks of it the show is pretty much sold out.
