A 54-year-old man is in the hospital today fighting for his life after he was hit by a driver who left him bleeding at the scene. Sgt. Dennis Toomer said the victim was walking in a crosswalk at Steiner and Lombard streets at about 10:22 p.m. when a car hit him and fled the scene.
