Despite having a name that could set S.F.'s noise nerds in a tizzy, Australia's Drones are an indie rock band. But they're a damn good one, especially when frontman Gareth Liddiard is unwinding one of his heavily accented, highly tortured yowls over a mess of noisy guitar riffage.
