  If you haven't heard of Or, The Whale yet, the month of January is set to change that. The SF-based indie-country-folksters' debut album, On Light Poles and Pines, releases on Jan. 20, and has been described as omnipotent, epic, and painfully reflective. If you like your thoughts wistful and your alcohol grainy, then this might be the album for you.
