Once upon a time, the concept of world music made people think of hippies and manic music nerds touting the latest in Tuvan throat singing. But the late '00s have seen DJs and producers propagating glitchy mixes of experimental dancehall, electro-cumbia, kuduro house, and hip-hop from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa.
