San Francisco is Voted the Best
Every week there seems to be a new list of top cities that San Francisco is popping up on. They range from the predicable, best city for romance and gay culture, to the more obscure, best place to find a sugar daddy and good beer. Here’s a roundup of 10 of the recent lists San Francisco has made an appearance on.
S.F. Named Top City for Snobs:
Our high rents, upscale boutiques, and foodie culture were contributing factors to naming us the snobbiest of them all.
S.F. Named Most Romantic City in U.S.:
According to a study done by a dating site where your first date consists of taking a trip together (maybe not the best idea), San Francisco ranked as the best destination. We do agree with one part of their study, it is hard not to fall in love with the City.
S.F. Named Top City for Same Sex Marriages, Pride, and Overall Gay-Friendliness: Last year we were voted not only the best gay-friendly city,
but we also have the most pride.
If they thought we were full of pride last year, after the repeal of DOMA and Prop 8., then were sure to grab the number one spot again - especially since were now also the number one place for same-sex marriages.
S.F. Named Lesbianish City:
Continuing with being a gay-destination city, along with Berkeley and Oakland, Jezebel.com named San Francisco the number one metro area for lesbians, due in large part to our creative women and our girl parties.
S.F. Named Third Best Place to be a Guy:
Even though we may be lesbianish, S.F. is still a great place to be a guy. Among factors such as employment, obesity rates, and cost of living, the fact there are a lot of single ladies in town also contributed to our high ranking.

S.F. Named Seventh Happiest City in the World:
San Franciscans, when not riding Muni or dodging sidewalk poop, are generally pretty happy, especially when -- according to this study -- we are shopping at one of our numerous malls.
S.F. Named Best City:
Last year Business Week
just went ahead and said San Francisco is the best city. Period. The end.
