The Faint: Show Preview

Wednesday, Nov 14 2012

The first time you heard The Faint's album Danse Macabre, you probably were struck by how distinctive it was. This album was dance music for people who only listened to indie music — what a brilliant concept! Not to make you aging hipsters feel old, but it's been over a decade since Danse came out. So naturally, Saddle Creek just released a deluxe, remastered edition of the album, with bonus tracks, a DVD, and some fancy booklets. To mark this special occasion, the Omaha electro-punks are playing Danse Macabre in its entirety on every night of their current 26-date tour. If you haven't listened to the record in a while, check it out — there's not a bad track on there. The band has also promised to perform "new songs and some of our other favorites" at their upcoming gigs, so more recent converts will have something to dance to as well.
