Ozzy Coming to Oakland With Rob Zombie in November

Posted By on Wed, Sep 26, 2007 at 11:50 AM

Did anyone catch Ozzfest 2007, the most laughable metal tour in America? Was it any good?

More importantly, who is actually going to attend this concet, other than a bunch of douchebags? Either way, Rob Zombie should be headlining and Ozzy should be opening, IMHO. -David Downs

OZZY OSBOURNE will bring his massive 40-concert North American tour to

ORACLE Arena in Oakland, CA on Sunday, November 18th 2007. This will be

his first Oakland solo concert in more than a decade and will feature

special guest, Rob Zombie. The tour follows BLACK RAIN- Ozzy's

critically acclaimed first album of new studio material in six years and

ZOMBIE's hit film Halloween, which premiered number one at the box

office in its debut weekend and broke all Labor Day Weekend records,

grossing an estimated 31 million dollars.

Tickets are on sale Saturday, September 29th at 10:00 AM and can be

purchased at the ORACLE Arena Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, by

calling (510) 625-TIXS or online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are

subject to applicable service charges and event time and date are

subject to change.

Promoted by AEG Live, these concerts will mark OZZY's first solo arena

tour in six years and pairs two of rock's best and most dynamic frontmen

in one unforgettable extravaganza.

More afterthe jump.

OZZY's latest studio album BLACK RAIN

finds the two-time Grammy Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

inductee as vital, creative and evocative as ever. First single "I

Don't Wanna Stop" is OZZY's biggest rock song of his career, spending 20

weeks at #1 on the R&R Rock Chart and peaking at #1 on the R&R Active

Rock chart. The song is also the lead track from EA's Madden NFL '08.

His second single, currently at radio, is the powerful manifesto "Not

Going Away." BLACK RAIN was released in May and entered the Billboard

pop albums chart at #3 with over 150,000 copies sold the first week.

Overall, OZZY has sold over 100 million albums combined as both a member

of Black Sabbath and as a solo artist.

Hot off the heels of the record breaking box office hit Halloween, ROB

ZOMBIE unleashes his first-ever live album ZOMBIE - LIVE (Geffen

Records/UMe) due out on October 23. ZOMBIE - LIVE is a brain-bashing,

soul-shaking sonic earthquake that spans the hard rocker's entire

career. ZOMBIE has sold over fifteen million albums worldwide and is one

of Geffen Record's top selling artists. He has directed dozens of high

profile music videos including OZZY OSBOURNE's "Dreamer" video,

contributed recordings to soundtracks and is known for twisting the

imagination and boundaries of both film and music. In 2005, ZOMBIE

assaulted the film world with the critically-acclaimed, macabre and

twisted masterpiece The Devil's Rejects, the follow-up to his already

cult classic House of 1000 Corpses (2004). As Halloween is well on its

way towards cult status, ZOMBIE once again takes his horror show back on

the road.

The show also featured Phish’s debut of a, seemingly impromptu, version of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” to with roaring approval of the, singing along, crowd.
