Call me crazy, but personally I think the best skate video of all time is Yeah Right! And by the good graces of some awesome person out there, the whole thing's on YouTube. But who knows, maybe a selection from the UnderSkatement Film Festival might just match up to the ill technique of the Girl/Chocolate fam. The festival kicks off on the first of the month at the Victoria Theatre. I dunno though, it'll be really hard to beat Spike Jonze direction on top of an Owen Wilson cameo. The ender-ender:

UnderSkatement Film Festival, founded in 2001, will be returning with its

first new installment of films in three years. 2007 will mark the fourth

collection of short films made by skateboarders from around the world.

Since its inception, Underskatement has been instrumental in helping to

bridge the gap between skateboard videos and "legitimate" film. And after

years of pseudo-obscurity, the rest of the world has once again caught

onto what skateboarders have been doing all along: creating cutting edge

art and culture, which will continue to expand ideas of what has hereto

for been though possible.

Based in San Francisco, the festival has traveled throughout North

America, Europe, and Australia showcasing the best short work in genres

ranging from documentary to comedy, horror to animation, and political to

the experimental.

For the 2007-2008 season, Underskatement will branch out to include

screenings in South America and Asia as well. Screenings will begin in

the U.S. and Canada in the fall of 2007 and continue internationally

throughout the spring of 2008.

The San Francisco Street Food Festival was another success this year. Dozens of vendors with original, unheard-of creations, such as deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, black pea paste pancakes, and Korean quesadillas. Then there was the comfort foods we've grown accustomed to, like creme bruleé, shrimp rolls, and pound cake. Photographs by Mabel Jimenez.
