It was a while back that I first showed a print from Lori Earley. Her work and prints sell out very quickly. Excellent Virtu has a new print of hers for sale, entitled "The Parting". It's a huge 24"x36" giclee on canvas, signed and numbered in an edition of 95. I believe this print is of a painting that was at her latest solo show "Anima Sola" at the Opera Gallery. The colors are amazing, and the depth that she gets with the lights and shadows are amazing. I would love to see her work in person.

Stella Im Hultberg "Marla"

This piece from Stella Im Hultberg had to be one of the coolest works from the Crazy4Cult show at Gallery 1988. I think it's also one of the most anticipated prints that will be coming from that show. Stella has an amazing style, I think it fits Marla so well. Fans of her work, as well as fans of the Fight Club movie, will no doubt go crazy for this one. The print goes on sale this November 20th at 12pm PST. It's signed and numbered, and limited to 150.

Sas Christian "Saturday Night, Saturday Morning"

Another previous feature, Sas Christian has some new prints out, as well as a new website design. She has a good amount of prints for sale, I chose this one as it's basically on it's way to being sold out, and it really shows her ability to paint eyes. She paints the most insanely detailed eyes, and this print really gives you the close-up on them. This is a 24"x18" lithograph, signed and limited to 500. There are just a few remaining.

Dennis Brown "Thelonious and the Children of Ego"

Also known as Bagger43, Dennis Brown is an illustrator in New York. His paintings are always very colorful, dynamic, and from what I can see textural. This print is from a piece he has on show at the Thinkspace Gallery. The print is being released through Blueflip Art and is a part of their limited edition prints. You have two size choices, 7.5" x10" is limited to 100, and 12.5" x 16.5" is limited to only 10.

Ashley Wood "Poster 2"

An artist out of Australia, Ashley Wood has a legion of fans. It was his Popbot art that got him so popular, and now it's hard to find an up and coming comic artist not heavily inspired by him. He is also an amazing painter, many of the covers that you see him work on are painted in oil. I have really never seen prints of his for sale, or was always too late to get one. Well, he just decided to release some affordable poster prints. They don't sound cheap though, a 16" x24" poster with matte varnish on 200GSM silk paper, and each one is hand signed. And its cheaper than what you might spend on lunch.

The San Francisco Street Food Festival was another success this year. Dozens of vendors with original, unheard-of creations, such as deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, black pea paste pancakes, and Korean quesadillas. Then there was the comfort foods we've grown accustomed to, like creme bruleé, shrimp rolls, and pound cake. Photographs by Mabel Jimenez.
