Endlessly energetic gypsy-punk superstars Gogol Bordello are following up their Sunday afternoon appearance at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival with a Sunday night show at Slim's. Why toss down $30 when you can see Eugene Hutz & Co. for free at GGP? Well, for starters, the nighttime gig is a benefit for Muttville — a non-profit charity that "rescues senior dogs and finds them foster homes or gives them hospice" — and a full 100% of the ticket sales go to the organization. Second, do you really need a reason to see more Gogol Bordello?!? Unless you physically incapacitate yourself while attempting to swim the surging, stinking human sea at GGP (attendance is bound to be in the high thousands, many of them hippies), there's never an excuse for missing Team Bordello as it tears up a stage with its inimitable hybrid of European trad, punked-out dub, Stooge-ified folk, and alkie balladry. If you want more info, you can find it at the benefit event website. — J. Graham
