We all love Shepard Fairey and Banksy, but let's not forget that their current shine wouldn't be possible without the street art of Ron English. English follows up  2008's The Secret History of Kiss with next year's Mythographic Vicissitudes at Fifty24SF Gallery. Moving on from his juxtaposition of art history and KISS makeup, English's upcoming solo exhibit explores variations on modern mythologies, from Jesus to Bigfoot to Expressonism. Mythographic Vicissitudes opens with a reception Thursday, Jan.8 from 7-9 p.m., and will be available for viewing until Jan. 29, 2009. Visit for more info. --Oscar Pascual
