"Snowfall Over Poppies" by Krista Huot

Krista Huot made one of my favorite pieces at the most recent Crazy 4 Cult show, and well, one of the best Wizard of Oz-inspired works I have seen yet. It is now available in print form from Gallery 1988. The print is 16" x 20", signed and numbered in an edition of 50. There will also be 15 of the prints with hand-embellished poppies going for $150 while the standard is $100 each. You can either contact the gallery at (415) 409-1376 / gallery1988sf@gmail.com, or Get It Here.

"Alexander and the Friendly Cube" by Alex Pardee

Alex Pardee currently has a solo show at the Upper Playground Fifty24SF Gallery in San Francisco, "Letters from Digested Children". The show is amazing, and one of the works has been released as a print. Sold out on the gallery site, there seems to be some left on Alex's shop. The print is 16" x 20" signed and numbered in an edition of 50. Get It Here "Orphan I" by Ben Tour

It's only been a few weeks since the last Ben Tour print, but this one is too good to pass up. This is from Ben's latest solo show at the Meta Gallery in Toronto. The print is entitled "Orphan I", it is on museum rag paper with deckled edges, 20″ x 24″ in an edition of 50. You can get the print by getting in touch with the gallery here: jp@metagallery.com to acquire the work or phone Meta Gallery at 416-955-0500. Get It Here "Olive Oil" by Van Arno

Just this past weekend, Van Arno's solo show "The Boogie Disease" opened at the Shooting Gallery. The show was amazing and was successful in making me a fan of his work. There were no prints from the show (yet?) but I did find some from Metro Orange Art. I thought it was cool that he did one of Olive Oil, and in his style this painting looks crazy. The print is open edition, 24" x 36". Get It Here "Noble Voices Lie Hidden and Mute" by Andy Kehoe

Any has updated his online shop with a new print, a favorite of his and one that he has been planning to release for quite some time. The print is 12" x 15" on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 40. This is a great looking print, looking at all those leaves kind of messes with my eyes though. • Phish at the Bill Graham Auditorium
Phish is in the midst of a block of sold out shows at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (October 27-29). The Monday night concert featured a rare first set opener of “Walfredo” with the band members switching instruments for the song. The evening’s highlights included John Fishman and his iconic vacuum cleaner solo and favorites such as Chalk Dust Torture, Slave to the Traffic Light, Axilla, Rift, 2001 Space Odyssey, and Maze. The show also featured Phish’s debut of a, seemingly impromptu, version of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” to with roaring approval of the, singing along, crowd. With Game 6 being tonight, partying Phish fans will join Giants fans in Civic Center Plaza where there will be a World Series viewing party on a large screen set up by the City.
