This just in: rocker Mike Patton--lead singer for Faith No More, Mr. Bungle and Fantomas, and founder of alt.whatever label Ipecac--has just completed his first major motion picture film score, for the imaginatively-titled "Crank 2: High Voltage." We're guessing it's not a Merchant-Ivory romantic drama. Previously, Patton scored the short film "A Perfect Place" and has contributed voiceovers and/or vocals to the film "I Am Legend" and several videogames, including "Bionic Commando" and "Portal." Patton and Fantomas play SF's Great American Music Hall March 19th; you can also catch Patton (playing with beatboxer Rhazel) at Coachella.

In other news, has reported that Patton's other, more famous band Faith No More--best known for their 1990 rap-rock anthem "Epic"--have reunited for a European tour this summer, their first performances since breaking up a decade ago. So far, no North American dates have been scheduled.
