Wham's classic holiday tune "Last Christmas" is one of my favorite songs of this season. In the hands of Canadian orchestral pop band Ohbijou, the song takes on a sweet, female-driven melancholy.

The Toronto group is anchored by sisters Casey and Jenny Mecija, who are in the band with musical buddies Heather Kirby and Anissa Hart, music cooperative Social Arts Club members James Bunton and Ryan Carley, and Andrew Kinoshita. The band reminds me a lot of Swedish pop acts like the Concretes or the Cranberries, and it gives this golden Wham oldie a delicate female spin.
