New Man/Miracle Video and MP3: "Pushing and Shoving"

Posted By on Mon, May 3, 2010 at 12:42 PM

It's another blissed-out, barbecues-and-babes music video, this time from Oakland foursome Man/Miracle, who finished a big tour with Rogue Wave this past Saturday at the Fillmore.

This new clip's for the song "Pushing and Shoving," and it's anything but violent. The boys bathe a house-painting party (or something) in a brisk indie-pop jam while a cheerful crowd chatters, paints, and drinks 40s. In another scene, the band members march up beachside sand dunes, gear in tow, and then skateboard down with sun-baked abandon. No brilliant narrative to make sense of here, really -- other than the story of Man/Miracle making us wish it was still late Sunday afternoon.

For continued weekend nostalgia, download the track free and get the also-tasty "Above The Salon" as well.

  • Arcade Fire at Shoreline
Arcade Fire opened their US tour at Shoreline Amphitheater to a full house who was there in support of their album "Reflector," which was released last fall. Dan Deacon opened the show to a happily surprised early audience and got the crowd actively dancing and warmed up. DEVO was originally on the bill to support Arcade Fire but a kayak accident last week had sidelined lead singer Mark Mothersbaugh and the duration of the west coast leg of the tour. Win Butler did a homage to DEVO by performing Uncontrollable Urge.
