People think being in a band is glamorous. And while it may be for a few brief moments of stage-diving and bathing in applause, being in a band also means countless hours of driving from show to show, far away from your friends and your family and your home.

While the Bay Area has out celebrating our World Series victory this week, the boys from electro-dance duo Wallpaper have been on the road, suffering through inland heat and missing out on the action. To stay occupied and rehearsed, they made video of themselves performing their new song, "Indian Summer," in a place they've been spending a lot of time lately -- the car. This video was actually filmed while driving across Eastern Nevada. Check it out after the jump.

As Wallpaper's Eric Frederic explained:

Touring is hard! While we're off driving through random parts of Nevada, the SF Bay Area is having an Indian Summer and the Giants win the World Series! Wish we were home today celebrating with y'all! So this desert driving tour rehearsal of our new song also titled "Indian Summer" is a tribute to our favorite place to be when its hot in Autumn. Brought to you courtesy of flip camera, duct tape, and Red Bull.

Here it is then, the "road jam" rehearsal version of "Indian Summer":

Phish is in the midst of a block of sold out shows at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (October 27-29). The Monday night concert featured a rare first set opener of “Walfredo” with the band members switching instruments for the song. The evening’s highlights included John Fishman and his iconic vacuum cleaner solo and favorites such as Chalk Dust Torture, Slave to the Traffic Light, Axilla, Rift, 2001 Space Odyssey, and Maze. The show also featured Phish’s debut of a, seemingly impromptu, version of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” to with roaring approval of the, singing along, crowd. With Game 6 being tonight, partying Phish fans will join Giants fans in Civic Center Plaza where there will be a World Series viewing party on a large screen set up by the City.
