On the heels of today's news about S.F. trio Weekend -- whose busted van chassis hasn't stopped its tour -- comes a report of another crash this past Sunday involving S.F.-based Two Gallants frontman Adam Haworth Stephens in Wyoming. And, sadly, this story doesn't end as well.

Stephens, on tour in support of his solo debut, reportedly dislocated and possibly broke a shoulder when the band rolled its tour van several times during a snowstorm. Bandmate Omar Cueller reportedly broke a hand and may have cracked a bone in his neck. Matt Montgomery, the third man in the van, apparently walked away from the accident with minimal injuries.

We're still trying to verify details, but this blog post says the three musicians were taken to a hospital in Rawlins, Wyo., after their van was totaled in the crash. It was brought to our attention via guitarist/cellist/vocalist Jen Grady, who had been playing with Stephens before she departed  to tour with another artist.

Adam dislocated and possibly broke a shoulder. Omar has possibly cracked a bone in his neck and a broken hand on which he will need surgery. He will most likely be in a neck or back brace for the next 6 weeks. At this time they are not sure when they will be able to leave the hospital.

The van is totaled and the group is trying to figure out how to get home. A four hour drive to Denver and a flight home will most likely be their best option. The instruments and gear are generously being stored in Wyoming.

Omar and Adam will most likely be unable to work for quite some time upon their return to San Francisco. Any donations for living expenses and travel arrangements that you could contribute to the band would be greatly appreciated.

It's been a tough year for Stephens. When we spoke to him about his solo debut, We Live On Cliffs, for an October story, he had just been hit by a car while riding his bike. At the time, income from record sales and gigs was not enough for him to be able to afford health insurance.

We'll update this post when more information becomes available.
