Outside Lands has always made an effort to bring in highlights of the local food and wine scene to festivalgoers. Every year the offerings get a little bigger, and this year's festival is no different. For its return to a three-day format August 12-14, Outside Lands is adding food stands from some well-liked local restaurants, including Flour + Water, Memphis Minnie's barbecue, the American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, Kasa Indian Eatery, and Ritual Coffee Roasters. That's in addition to a set of vendors that already includes names like Farmer Brown's Little Skillet, Mission Minis, and Anchor & Hope.

If the experience of quaffing fine Pinot Noir inside a giant tent with fellow sweaty festivalgoers isn't too weird, the Wine Lands event will be back this year with 30 wineries, 21 of them new to the festival. And knowing what Heineken prices are likely to be -- you're looking at the better part of a 10-spot for one, at least -- maybe it's worth throwing down a little more to enjoy what you're drinking?

The above confab sounds like a righteous enough festival on its own, but Outside Lands also has music. Yes, music! Like from Arcade Fire and MGMT and Erykah Badu and stuff.

But even the most ardent music fan has to eat. Check out the full list of food offerings at Outside Lands 2011:
