'Brain Freeze' Is Why Lil Debbie Shouldn't Quit Her Day Job

Lil Debbie, the exiled stylist and sidekick from Kreayshawn's White Girl Mob, has busted out on her own -- sorta. She's paired up with Riff Raff, a cornrowed dude from Los Angeles who first popped up on the second season of the Jamie Foxx-produced VH1 reality series From G's to Gents, for a song and video called "Brain Freeze."

Debbie is undeniably stylish -- she'd make even the frumpiest clothes in our closet look fly. And she should continue along the sartorial path set by her designer mother and tailor grandfather, and find her way in the fashion world. Heck, she even looks cute with a straw stuck in a cough syrup bottle.

But this song, and especially the brief time she spends awkwardly and nasally trying to rhyme on it (Riff Raff takes up most of the minutes), isn't a step in the right direction (though her offer of giving syrup-sipping lessons over the summer might be). Debbie sounds stunted, as if reading off a piece of paper with too many syllables that's just been handed to her. View the video after the jump.

Meanwhile, Debbie's old cohort Kreayshawn is also working on new music and videos. She performed a new song called "Breakfast" last week at SXSW in Austin, but with a chorus that includes, "Juice, cheese, bread -- breakfast," we're not sure she should quit her day job either.
