Daddy Fat Sacks, aka Big Boi, aka one-half of OutKast, was in the Bay Area yesterday -- and because the Bay Area is what it is, we can pretty much follow his day on Twitter. In fact it looks like the occasion for Mr. Patton's visit was a pair of visits to two Bay Area tech giants: Apple first, for which he played a private showcase at Silicon Valley Athletic Club. Then to Twitter in S.F., where the Atlanta rapper gave a talk and discussed his new album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumours, which is out Dec. 12.

What then? Well according to the keen-eyed folks at Haighteration, Big Boi asked a Twitter employee for directions to the nearest Popeye's Chicken. Having received guidance to the Divsadero location, he racked up a $72.34 tab buying food for his crew before flying out of town late last night. $72.34 is a lot of Popeye's chicken! Hope he got plenty of biscuts, too, 'cause damn those Popeye's biscuits are good. [H/t to Haighteration. We owe ya a drumstick or two.] -- @iPORT

The San Francisco Street Food Festival was another success this year. Dozens of vendors with original, unheard-of creations, such as deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, black pea paste pancakes, and Korean quesadillas. Then there was the comfort foods we've grown accustomed to, like creme bruleé, shrimp rolls, and pound cake. Photographs by Mabel Jimenez.
