Tiësto, the Dutch DJ and EDM titan, was sent to a San Jose hospital Friday after hitting his head on the LCD screen above the stage where he was performing at the Electric Bounce House concert.
The DJ apparently banged his head against the screen as he began performing at the SAP Center in San Jose. The impact knocked him off his feet. Tiësto then tried to perform anyway, but his management wouldn't let him, according to TMZ."I took that American expression 'go knock yourself out' too literally Friday night in the Bay Area," he tweeted about the incident.
The injury required stitches and kept Tiesto from performing a scheduled gig in L.A. on Saturday night. But he's tweeted that he'll be just fine in time to play Ultra Music Festival in Miami this weekend. Sounds like he needs a few lessons in safe headbanging though. -- @iPORT
I had an accident and got a concussion at last night's show. Dr's told me to rest so no show tonight. Thanks for your concern and support!— Tiësto (@tiesto) March 22, 2014
