Supreme Court Decision Sparks Prop. 8 Protests

Demonstrators sat at the intersection of Van Ness and Grove in an attempt to block traffic in the aftermath of the Supreme Court's unfavorable Prop. 8 ruling Tuesday afternoon. They were led away one by one by police, who conducted "field bookings" of the protesters. It was unclear where they were to be transported, but officers on the scene said they would be issued citations rather than charged criminally, and then let go.
