Poorly conceived, terribly executed, and the article is so bad and thin on ideas that you can't even figure out what its trying to say beyond scoring an underserved paycheck. Here's a clue define your subject first before embarking on an article. Booooo! Just Boooooo!

1) On the SSD cover, the kids are storming the state capitol of MA, not the Capitol in D.C.
2) Assuming that you assumed it was, in fact, the U.S. Capitol, "Capitol" should be capitalized. See how I did that? It's called "basic knowledge of the lingua franca." Hire an editor for Christ's sake.

"Well-regulated militia" doesn't mean what you seem to think it means. At the time the 2nd Amendment was written, "militia" referred to all white males over 21 who were not already in the armed forces. "Well-regulated" meant they should be armed with the best equipment kept in good condition.

The purpose of the militia was to protect the People from a military coup or tyrannical leadership.

Most of those were not un-patriotic they were just tasteless and stupid. As for the making fun of George Bush thing,I guess bandwagon jumpers need hobbies too. People like my fiancee are defending your freedom and doing the hard work while you sit back and complain about having rights other countries only dream of.

These aren't unpatriotic at all, you douche. The artists were trying to make a statement with these album covers, even if a few of them turned out to be poorly conceived.

If you find this to be well written (in the slightest), you really need to read more. Let me spell it out for you since you clearly need some help. It's pretty clear that the author needed to first define his categorization of what it is to be "unpatriotic" and why a certain work would fall in that category. As it stands, the album covers are utterly random, mis-informed, and/or included the thinnest of reasons. If I can't tell what your subject is, it is B-A-D writing.

This is indeed quite stupid. None of these are unpatriotic. I think it's particularly stupid that the writer criticizes Sly and the Family Stone for their flag with "suns" instead of stars. The sun IS a star...

Anything that critizes the government (regardless of how poor a job it does or how much it rapes the people it's supposed to protect) is a patriot. I.e. you don't want to be one. Being a patriot is _not_ about loving your country, it's about submitting to your government. Another good word for patriotisme is islam (which means submissal) and a good muslim is by definition also a patriot. Considering how most "patriots" of the US hates muslims, I find it quite ironic.

I was dissapointed in the countdown, I was expecting to see more blasphmous covers but atleast you tried. You should add leftover crack's 'fuck world trade' album along with many other bands from that genre. Even my band has better covers than those shock value hypocrytes. the real terror is in the message. But I hope you continue to make forums like these because they're interesting.
