After an eight-year touring hiatus, the electroclash duo Ghostland Observatory performed at San Francisco’s August Hall this past Saturday, October 6th.

Despite the stage simply having two people performing, the stage production was amazing, with a series of multiple triangular structures pulsing with neon colored lights in time to the music, framing the performers. A ridiculous amount of green and red lasers fanned our and swept across the audience and room.

Frontman Aaron Behrens danced around the stage, doffing his white suit jacket and sunglasses before snapping up his guitar, all while singing in his distinct, sharp vocal style. Keyboardist and drummer Thomas Ross Turner manned multiple panels of controls and keys at the rear of the stage, wearing a cape, and looking like some kind of wizard trapped on a spaceship.

Local DJ / Producer MPHD opened the night.
