Mac DeMarco at the Greek Theatre, Friday, Sept. 8

It wasn’t a joke when Phoenix booked Mac DeMarco as their support band for their show at The Independent on April Fool’s Day in 2013. And now, the psychedelic indie rockers, Mac DeMarco returned back to the San Francisco Bay on their own merit, back to the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. The Canadian band sold-out the century old amphitheater mainly to the young college crowd, even selling out of all of the merch on a crisp east bay evening. Homeshake and the Garden were the support bands, warming out the crowd.
