Mike Patton is a man of many talents, most notably a wide vocal range in both key and style. While the public generally knows him as the front-man for Faith No More and, to a lesser degree, Mr. Bungle, Patton has created and contributed to dozens of other music projects across the genre spectrum.

DJ Qbert is heralded as a local hero of modern-day turntablism, and is almost as prolific as Patton when it comes to collaboration. His ability to pull a whole world of sounds out of a vinyl record is something that never ceases to impress, with many shows featuring projections that make his quick hands the focus of the event.
Special guest opener Money Mark, well-known for his production with The Beastie Boys,  demonstrated a number of homemade music creation devices involving piano rolls, feedback and vocal manipulation, with a set that was equal parts workshop, concert and science fair.
Without even knowing what they would experience at the event, fans of the artists snapped up all of the tickets for Friday’s performance, causing the show to sell out within hours, with a Saturday show added shortly after.
Mike Patton and DJ Qbert’s collaborative performance was all of the over place musically, with Qbert laying down many of the packing tracks, beats, and all kinds of sounds, and Patton growling, shrieking and singing over the additional noises he made. Classic tracks from Patton’s ‘Peeping Tom’ project were performed, as was original material concocted with Qbert, and Money Mark joined in to add to the controlled chaos.
