Noise Pop: Girlpool and Field Medic at The Great American Music Hall, Feb. 21, 2018

Los Angeles’s indie rock duo Girlpool dished out some mellow and emotional songs to the Noise Pop crowd this past Wednesday, February 21st at the Great American Music Hall. Joined by a live drummer and guitarist for part of their set, Girlpool members Cleo and Harmony showed a rapport and intimacy onstage that they reflected in stories they shared as between-song banter. While their jamming wasn’t as close as their reported sharing of a toothbrush during an atypical band interview, they often traded guitars and even harmonized on the same microphone.

San Francisco’s own self-described ‘Freak Folk’ act Field Medic provided support, melding an interesting mix of electronic production blasts and beats with acoustic guitar and vocals.
